Sun symbols, also called sun circles, appear as variable designs in the Southeast tribal history. They often include concentric circles, spirals, contain a cross or inverted scalloped lines within a circle. Today these symbols still suggest the relationships of man and earth to the sun, which generously and faithfully lights our way, warms our days, and brings forth food.
